No Where to go but UP
There is no where to go but UP,
when you are already as low as you can go!
Many folks are dealing with depression in these uncertain times, and they
can't seem to get back on top of things, so what do they do? Many just choose to
wallow in their misery, because seems that's the only thing to do when you're
down in the dumps. But I am here to tell you that I have been there, and while
it isn't a very pleasant place to be, it can be a growing experience. So what do
I do about the low down feeling that I have? Do I kick the dog, get envious of
those doing so well around me, or do I pull myself up by the boot straps?
I look around, and find someone who is worse off than myself, and consider
myself blessed.
I remember the days that I felt I could tackle anything, and did my dead
level best to do it.
I remember that God didn't promise me a life of perfection, but a journey
where I can make choices, and learn to live with the choices I have made, and
when I make a mistake, I am given the opportunity to not go back and do it over,
but work to do it BETTER the next opportunity given to do so.
While blaming God for my shortcomings could come easy for me, I choose to
thank God for that which I have, and that which I have sometimes is so much
BETTER than what others may have.
So the next time you get as low as you can go, remember this, there is no
where to go but up, because you have already been as low as you can go.
Congratulate those that are doing well, hug that dog instead of kicking it, and
make sure your boot straps are well within reach!!
